Weather and Alerts
During Severe Weather
Check warnings before travel, avoid flooded roadways and never drive through water covering a road. Seek appropriate shelter immediately when a tornado or severe thunderstorm warning affects your location. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911.
Power Outages
For outage reporting and utility restoration resources, see the Lubbock Chronicle Power Outage Center. Utility outage maps and estimates are maintained by the providers, not by Lubbock Chronicle.
This resource links to official information and is not a live emergency-alert service. Always follow National Weather Service warnings and local emergency instructions.
