One person killed in overnight East Lubbock shooting
The Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is investigating near East 26th Street and Ivory Avenue. Officers responded around 2:37 a.m. Sunday to reports of shots fired and found one person dead. Lubbock ISD to discuss future plans at Tuesday town hall

Pumpkin Trail approaches; carved pumpkins needed
