Polls close at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and statewide and district results often begin appearing in the state's reporting system around 7:30 p.m., the Texas Secretary of State's office said Monday.
The state's election night site will carry statewide and district-level races. For local races and ballot measures, the office directs voters to county websites. Because counties may post results on their own sites first, county and state totals may temporarily differ.

Statewide and district results will come from the Texas Secretary of State; local results, including HD 84, will come from the Lubbock County Elections Office. What to expect Tuesday night
First numbers: Counties usually start by reporting early voting and mail-in ballot results, then update totals as Election Day votes are counted.
Lines at closing time: Voters in line by 7 p.m. may still vote, which can delay reporting from some voting locations.
Unofficial totals: All election night results are unofficial, and the Secretary of State's office does not predict or call races.
Later ballots: Eligible provisional ballots and ballots from military and overseas voters may be counted after Election Day.
