1. Nonprofit Loses Trailer and Fishing Gear Ahead of Children's Event
A Lubbock nonprofit is asking the public for help after thieves stole a trailer loaded with supplies for its annual children’s fishing event. Los Hermanos Familia says thieves stole the trailer early Wednesday, October 21. It held about 200 fishing poles plus tents, games and other gear for Vamos a Pescar. The organization, as reported by KFYO, puts the total loss, including the trailer, at roughly $18,000. It is now hoping the community can help recover equipment meant for local kids and families.
