Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico's Tuesday rally in Lubbock has moved from the Texas Tech campus to the Fiesta Center in East Lubbock, FOX34 reports. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the program starts at 7 p.m.
Updated rally details
Date: Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026
New location: Fiesta Center, 1902 E. Fourth St.
Previous location: Frazier Alumni Pavilion, Texas Tech campus
Doors: 6 p.m.
Program: 7 p.m.
Tickets: Not required
Democrats for Texas, a registered student organization at Texas Tech, sponsors the rally, a stop on Talarico's statewide "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts" tour aimed at turnout. Attendees are encouraged to bring an "I Voted" sticker. No reason for the venue change was given.
The same evening, President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at 6 p.m. at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, 1501 Mac Davis Lane, in support of Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton. Doors there open at 2:30 p.m. The two venues are a few miles apart, so drivers in central and East Lubbock should expect heavier traffic Tuesday evening.
