An industrial manufacturer has established its corporate headquarters in Wolfforth, bringing a new operation to the Lubbock area and plans for additional development. Patriot Pumps announced in mid-October that it opened a 50,000-square-foot campus on 8.48 acres at 11513 Highway 62/82.
The company, previously headquartered in Salem, Oregon, says its Wolfforth location handles pump-system production, equipment distribution, parts inventory and field service for customers across West Texas, the Permian Basin and the Gulf Coast. Its customers include municipal water systems, oil and gas operators, agricultural businesses and mining companies.
15 employees to start, with hiring planned
The company said the Wolfforth operation opened with 15 employees working in sales, management, engineering, production and service. It plans to hire as business grows, but did not announce a specific additional job count or hiring timetable.
Patriot also says it is finalizing plans for a remanufacturing facility on adjacent land, with service bays, equipment-washing space and expanded parts storage. That expansion is planned, not yet complete.
Oregon operation remains open
The company's Salem operation will continue, with more than 30 employees. The Wolfforth location gives Patriot a base closer to its customers in the region.
