The most local choices on the November 3 ballot deserve a careful look, too. Lubbock County voters will see contests for county and legislative offices, depending on their precinct. We've brought together the Chronicle's candidate guides to make those races easier to find.

  • Contested Lubbock County offices: Includes county races and precinct-level contests such as Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, where Republican Susan Rowley and Democrat Nellie Hopson are candidates. See the county candidate guide.

  • Texas Legislature: Find contested state legislative candidates who appear on ballots in Lubbock County. See the Legislature candidate guide.

Uncontested races are omitted from our candidate summaries. Not every reader will see every contest; the exact ballot varies by precinct.

Before you vote: View the Lubbock Chronicle sample ballot. This is a Chronicle-created resource, not an official ballot. Our full election guide links to additional candidates and ballot measures.
