One of Lubbock's most familiar Halloween traditions is drawing attention well beyond West Texas. Nightmare on 19th Street is celebrating 20 years of scares, and the sprawling haunted attraction has earned a place on The Scare Factor's list of 10 must-see haunted attractions in Texas for 2026.

The seasonal scream park, tucked behind the Lone Star Amphitheater at 602 E. 19th St., features four separate haunted experiences covering about 1.25 miles. This year's theme, “Year of the Creeps,” adds new characters and scenes throughout the park.

Recognition Beyond Lubbock

The Scare Factor's 2026 Texas list highlights Nightmare on 19th Street's 20-year run, variety of sets and continued additions to the experience. The attraction's own website also reports a No. 1 Scurryface recognition and a four-star review from Haunt Finder General. Those additional honors are identified on the venue's website; their award years were not independently established for this article.

It is a fitting milestone for a longtime Lubbock business whose four attractions are BloodMoon Manor, KarnEvil, Castle Dominus and Roger Ratty's Pizza/Playhouse. Guests can expect elaborate sets, costumed actors, effects and outdoor walking between attractions.
