Eligible Lubbock County voters who still need to request a ballot by mail must do so by Friday.

The Texas Secretary of State's 2026 election calendar sets Friday, October 23 as the last day the early voting clerk may receive a ballot-by-mail application for the November 3 general election. A postmark alone does not satisfy the application deadline. The application must arrive before the clerk closes for the day or at noon, whichever is later.

  • Who may qualify: Eligible voters age 65 or older, those who are sick or disabled, voters expecting to give birth near Election Day, certain voters away from their county during voting, and eligible voters in specified confinement circumstances.

  • Delivery: The state permits designated submission methods, including in-person delivery by the deadline. Faxed or emailed applications may require the original signed form to follow within four business days; verify instructions with the county office.

  • Already planning to vote in person? Early voting continues through October 30.

For the correct application and delivery details, consult the Lubbock County Elections Office or the Texas Secretary of State's election calendar.
