Property tax statements are on their way to Lubbock County property owners, but Lubbock-Cooper ISD residents will have to wait a little longer.

The Lubbock Central Appraisal District says it began mailing 2026 tax statements Friday, October 23. Property owners can already look up their bills at lubbockcad.org.

Properties in Lubbock-Cooper ISD are exempt. The district says it will not mail those statements until after voters decide the school district's voter-approval tax rate election on November 3. LCAD hopes to mail them by mid-November.

For now, the amount shown online for those properties is calculated using the tax rate being requested in the election. If voters reject that rate, LCAD says it will recalculate the amount due after Election Day.

Taxpayers can search for their property and review the listed amount on the LCAD website. You can also reach the appraisal district at (806) 762-5000.
