The 2026 four-day count is 597 votes higher than 2018 at the same point and 10,778 higher than 2022. However, because the registration base has grown, 2026's four-day share of registered voters is below 2018's roughly 18.2%. Those differences do not indicate which candidates voters support.

The county's day-by-day counts are 8,852 Monday, 8,638 Tuesday, 7,898 Wednesday and 7,285 Thursday. The Chronicle is keeping the county series separate from Secretary of State totals while it clarifies the reporting definitions and any mail-ballot/provisional differences. The Lubbock County Elections Office told the newsroom Thursday morning that earlier state reporting issues appeared to be resolved. These figures are not by party affiliation or voter history.
