Lubbock-Cooper Independent School District has been awarded a $200,545 Jobs and Education for Texans grant to purchase equipment for HVAC career training. The program is expected to serve 170 students in partnership with South Plains College.
The grant is part of more than $20 million in statewide career-training awards the governor's office announced Monday. The funding is intended to help students gain practical skills for employment in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning fields.
