Texas Tech swept the Big 12’s weekly cross-country honors Tuesday. The Red Raiders close the regular season at the Arturo Barrios Invite in College Station on Friday, Oct. 16.

Tonight in Lubbock

Local choir joins Foreigner at Buddy Holly Hall

Tonight’s Foreigner concert has an extra local connection: a local high-school choir is scheduled to perform with the band during its Lubbock stop. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at Buddy Holly Hall, 1300 Mac Davis Lane.

Know Before You Go

72nd Street closure: 72nd Street remains closed between Kewanee Avenue and Milwaukee Avenue for gas-line work. The work is scheduled through Oct. 14, weather permitting. Motorists should use an alternate route and allow extra travel time.
