Gov. Greg Abbott will speak at a free get-out-the-vote event in Lubbock on Friday, Oct. 30, the final day of early voting. His campaign says he will talk about the importance of the election and how supporters can help keep Texas Republican.
Event details
The event begins at 12:15 p.m. at the Funky Door Bistro & Wine Room, 6801 Milwaukee Ave. The campaign describes it as free and family-friendly, with food and light refreshments. Attendees are asked to RSVP in advance through the campaign's event page.
Final days of a busy campaign week
Abbott's stop follows Tuesday's competing Lubbock rallies by President Donald Trump, campaigning for Republican U.S. Senate nominee Ken Paxton, and Democratic nominee James Talarico. Early voting in Texas ends Friday, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Voters can find their races in the Chronicle's 2026 Lubbock County sample ballot.
