A former Buffalo Springs Lake manager is now running for a seat on the board that dismissed him.
Greg Thornton, fired in July amid allegations involving permits and fees tied to his private construction company, is seeking an at-large seat on the Lubbock County Water Control and Improvement District board. Thornton disputes the allegations. Incumbent Casey Klingensmith is also running, and the board says an investigation is underway, according to KCBD reporting by Joshua Ramirez.
